by Corinne Sanders writer @InspireMore
F or dachshunds Chorizo and Cocoa, quarantine means they can’t see their
furry friends for awhile.
The 2-year-old pups usually go to doggy day care three times a week
while their dad Daniel Nava delivers FedEx packages in Oceanside, California.
With the facility closed because of COVID-19, Daniel knew he had to come up
with a plan so they wouldn’t have to stay home all day.
That’s when he decided they could ride with him! Using some old work shirts,
Daniel made them adorable uniforms — and even bought them their own
sunglasses.
Once the cuties had their gear, they were ready to hit the road!
“The decision to bring them with me on deliveries was not easy, but my
supervisor is very understanding,” Daniel said. “I had brought them with me
before with no safety issues — I have them on a harness that is anchored down to
my seat while we drive.”
They’ve both already proven themselves to be very good helpers. They even have
a knack for stealing customers’ hearts!
