Information Events
The McKinney Parks & Recreation Department invites all seniors to visit the Jazz Concert
Senior Recreation Center. Many recreational and leisure opportunities are Thursday, September 5, 6:30-8:00PM, No Fee

The National Cowgirl Museum and Hall of Fame is dedicated to honoring women
of the American West who displayed extraordinary courage in their trailblazing

Old Red Museum

The Old Red Museum contains fascinating historical artifacts from Dallas
County’s rich cultural, economic and social history. Lunch will be at the
Spaghetti Warehouse.

Stories with Students
Spend one hour of your time reading with Kinder and first graders at various Zip Line Adventure
elementary schools. Ride the zip-line at Camp Rorie Galloway (3100 Lawson Road, Mesquite) and
MISD Background check required retell the story over a picnic lunch.
Bus will pick up volunteers at Evans then transport to Gentry Elementary. Friday, September 20 – sign up at Evans, Goodbar or Rutherford 9/6
