Our mission is to provide life enrichment for all seniors 50
years of age and over through opportunities that promote Features
health, happiness and peace of mind in a safe, social and
interactive environment. 16,000 sq. ft. Senior Recreation Facility

The McKinney Parks, Recreation and Open Space Exercise room
Department invites all seniors to visit the Senior Recreation Locker rooms
Center. Many recreational and leisure opportunities are Indoor exercise pool
available to individuals ages 50 and over. Come by for Nature trail - .6 miles
a tour, meet the staff and see what is available. Classes, 2 horseshoe pits
programs and seminars are continuously added, including Hike and bike trail from Senior Center to Towne Lake
exercise, dance, games, arts and crafts, computers and 113 parking spaces - 28 pool side, 85 at the Senior Center
wellness. Stop by for a cup of coffee and pick up your
monthly calendar. Day Trips
Trips leave from and return to the Senior Recreation Center
Annual membership fees are $5 for city residents (based on and may or may not require excess walking, stairs, extreme
city water utilities) and $10 for nonresidents. Registering for weather conditions and traveling distances. Participants
membership includes filling out a membership application, must be able to function independently or be accompanied
taking a picture, and obtaining a membership ID card. A by a caregiver. Caregiver assistance is not provided.
